+marni@h&m

It's coming fast! I missed the Versace collection and now here's Marni! If you haven't heard, Marni is launching a small collection for H&M on March 8th online and in store. It was announced in November last year. I see Marni's style as a classy minimalist chic, many times with or without print. It's more geared towards a contemporay customer.  I love H&M and these collaborations they are doing with these high end designers. If you're not at work or school that morning, go wait in line! There's always lines and items sell out within hours. It's a great time to buy and resale them on ebay for twice the amount. It at least gives us people who has to work or go to school, an opportunity to purchase them.

Here's a couple the Marni's Spring Collection for H&M

+blogRUBBISH!

This song is so beautiful, it's on repeat:

There's just been so much going on. A lot of changes at work and at home. There's so many projects that I really want to get started on. Time just isn't on my side at the moment. Hope everyone enjoyed Valentine's Day! I know i'm late, but hey.. i was busy! Let's start the randomness of this blog. Lets hope that if you're dating someone, you did get roses. Or like my sister, a new iphone 4s! I was fine with these roses and lilies from Mr. Now.

And this is why i love LA! Each one of these super cute platforms were $30 or less!! Yes, i had to buy all three and actually more that i didn't have time to photograph! Platforms are a must have so start stocking up on them.
These Cathy Jeans were actually $40 on sale. I love great sales!

I see some very interesting fashionistas at work, and they come in all ages and from all over. This lady's sweater was amazing, comfy, and sure would've looked great in my closet.

These chics were from Japan. You can usually tell just by the way they dress.

This chic was from Korea. I honestly saw myself in this outfit! She had an amazing eye for print and color, even shopping at my showroom.

A visit from the gorgeous Sacramento cousins. Took them out to Busby's! And yes i do need new clothes! Tossing this mustard sweater soon, i've just worn it too much.

So, i needed a new FB photo. Just decided to do a quick shoot. In black and white, you can hide anything from a pound of makeup to hardly any makeup.

Getting creative with photos these days, do take time. The time investing in them, is just like a brush and palette of paint.

So, this project is due by Friday and i'm driving back up to Fresno for the shoot. Theme is "Once Upon a Time." It's Tuesday already, and well, i haven't even started. I've never been much of an artist, so drawing out my designs look horrible! I know one thing is for sure, i'm making a dress for Rapunzel. I was the last one on earth who just saw Disney's Tangled a couple of weeks ago! If you haven't seen it, watch it. Until the next blog, i'll have the camera long with me for the shoot of these "Magical" and "Couture" pieces i'll be using. How do you make a "couture" piece in 4 days and  only a couple of hours out of each day?? Beats me!?!

+trendTIME

Trending = SCARF PRINTED PIECES. This one from TopShop!

From dresses, to tops and bottoms. There's some scarf prints that will never be trendy, but off the runways these days, are beautiful designs. You should be able to find a lot of knock offs soon. The only way for me to afford gorgeous prints are to find them at second-hand stores and vintage stores. I recently was able to pick up a gorgeous leopard scarf printed blouse. I will post it up for sale on http://www.moddame.com/ later this week. I already own many scarf printed tops from all my years of vintage shopping. I'll do a post of how to pull off some of these pieces later this week.

For now, take a look at these gorgeous scarf printed pieces, a huge trend right now!

Here's some of S/S D&G 2012:

For the next two weeks, ill be working on a couple of couture pieces for a photoshoot for the Springtini event in Fresno, California. I'll show the final results after the show.

+sun&sunday

A Sunday to just enjoy the sun and outdoors. Decided to wear one of my favorite colors: navy blue & mustard. My skin also matches magenta purple, though i only own a couple of these colors in my yearly fall wardrobe. A note to take:  learn what colors look best on your skin and stock up on cute dresses, tops, and bottoms with these colors. You'll know any outfit you put together will look great on you. I couldn't find anything to wear this Sunday, so i threw on my shorts i made for the Moddame Collection this past fall. I will be designing some more high waist shorts, since they are rare to find with a good fit.

Started my morning with sandwiches and desert at Portos Cafe. They have delicious deserts and are well known down south for their cheap prices, wide selection of cakes, & deserts. They have two location: one in Glendale and one in Burbank. I had gotten two cakes from Portos for my birthday: the infamous Persian chocolate cake. I'm not a big fan of chocolate, but this chocolate cake is not overwhelming and not too sweet. Try it when you're in town! Oh, don't forget the delicious Potato balls. The tastes like a potato and burrito in one!

Found these adorable sandals at the Goodwill across the street from Portos! $8 and totally worth it!

Accessorized today's outfit with neutrals from h&m and a gorgeous band that my boss got me at a Fashion Market week in Dallas.

Instead of the Botanical Gardens that was on the agenda, we ended up at the old LA Zoo. Arthur had recommended it for photo shoots. It was definitely a sight to see and i am thinking about doing a fun shoot of my Moddame Collection here just for the heck of it.

Do you remember making these back in elementary school? I didn't have anyone to give it to then.

But i did today. A real man can wear this with swag.

A huge thank you to my buddy Alex, for shooting these photos of me. I'm a hard one to capture decently in photos!

This was my favorite of the day! Alex, you're the best :)
