+sunday's FALL shoot

A Sunday shoot with my best friend Arthur Trujillo.
Location: my studio and the roof top
Arthur wanted to take on an edge and winter concept in wardrobe. Here are the shots of our shoot.

Photography by me.
Model and Styling by: Arthur Trujillo
Photo setting in my studio.

And on the roof top, catching the last of the setting sun. I'm good behind the lens, Arthur is best in front of the lens. These photos came out amazing.

And lastly, it's been a while since i last took some fashion style photos. Arthur was able to get a couple of shots of me in my  dress tank from h&m, aldo's necklace, and nude platform pumps.

And some photos on the roof top!

I'm thinking of making a trip down to Fresno before the REVIVED Fashion show, to shoot each model that will be participating in my collection. It'd be fun practice for me and i think the girls would love to have some fashion photos of themselves. Let's see how it goes! The REVIVED Fashion Show is coming up!! I am creating 9 to 10 looks for the event, and my model spots are almost filled up!  My newest additions are Mai Kue Chang and Pa Her, gorgeous chics from Fresno. Here's some of their photos below!

I'll blog later this week and also on the fashion event! See you on the next blog.

+octoberending

So the end of October has come and gone, and my last weekend was spent with wonderful friends. As was started this blog, Alex is in the back, correcting my grammer :P You should have seen him trying to do the moon walk on my wood floor, and then jump and yelp as if he was stung by a bee! What really happened was that a splinter had pierced the bottom of his foot and i had to help take it out. I couldn't stop laughing! Anyways.. as we discuss bees, i was Bumble Bee for Halloween this year! It was a last minute decision, since i couldn't finish my other costume on time. Below is the creation of the sexy Buzz Light Year (Michael) and Bumble Bee. My gorgeous friend Joan was also part of the fun! We went to Belasco's on the 29th.

Don't be fooled by our delicious looking brunch, as louise's restaurant on Larchmont gets 6 out of 10 rating. It was $10-$14 for salads or pastas and definitely not worth a second trip visit.

Don't forget--> new arrivals will be posted on www.moddame.com later this week! Here's a couple of pieces that will be available! A big thank you to my sister Michael who always knows my angles!
Mustard Bat wing & fringe sweater $15 (also available in blue)

Rainbow pom-pom sweater (small) 2 available $18

Art spot chiffon vest (2 available) $15.00

More to come..see you later this week!

+trendPREP

Doing some trend researching for next year. Some of my favorites are below.

The swan one is from Paul & Joe, just gorgeous.
You're going to see animals and birds and landscape graphics and prints.

The whole ethic and tribal, south western prints will be trendy all year long.

Be on the lookout for all kinds of spots! Always trendy. Top piece by Cacheral.

Zig zags in all kinds of contrasting prints or bolds. This one by Carven.

Many use of floral prints and photoreal contrasting prints. This one by Julian Louie.

Nature graphics, one of my favs in design is going to be a trend next year. These were done perfectly and you'll see knock off every where next year for sure! This one is from Drais Van Noten.

Textured fabrics are always one of my favorites and never out of trend. Here's a piece for next spring from Stella McCartney.

A Special Fall
Something special this year from Burberry's Fall collection. These black paillettes are so unique. Paillettes filled the runways and are definitely a couture piece to have.
This one is from Louis Vuitton

Shop H&M in November, and i believe on the 12th is the release of Versace's collection for H&M. The lines are usually insane and out the door. H&M is my favorite place to shop. Always trending the latest wearable fashion. Here's a sneak peak of the collection:

-Okay, im off to work at work and to work on my costume tonight.. going to work hard on it so i can show in on the American Apparel http://www.lookbook.nu/ Halloween contest!
